Ziad & Christina's Wedding. Saturday 12th April. Abingdon

Ziad had been Best Man at Mike & Emily's wedding in Scotland in September 2005 and so it was just great to be back photographing with the same group of friends.

We were all set for the first wedding of our season and I was really excited about using my new Canon 5D.

The wedding took place in Abingdon near Oxford and the day before had been wet and windy so it was with crossed fingers that we woke up to find a beautiful sunny day with the most incredible blue sky which of course Tim just had to make the most of.

Heres' a nervous Christina.....

and here is an excited Ziad inside the Roysse Room at the Guildhall in Abingdon.

but he still needed a little extra moral support from Mike before the ceremony......

and there was no way he was not going to look down the isle and see Christina making her entrance.....

a tender moment during the reading....

and the first kiss of many on this special day.....

This was a great room to photograph in, very light and with just the most ornate ceiling which Tim just had to make sure he documented in the pictures....

This is our favourite confetti shot.

For some reason I really like this picture that I caught of the couple walking to the Abbey Gardens and Tim at work. We can't show it all on the blog but Tim's shot shows Ziad placing the Marriage Certificate safely inside his jacket. So if it's gone missing..... we have the evidence of where it was seen last!

We had some fun shooting the bridal party. This is just a wicked jump shot.....

and Tim just had to capture this shot of Christina as she walked through the gardens.....

And then we went for a stroll through the Gardens down to the lake and back up past the ruins.....

The reception was held at Westwood Country Hotel. Ziad left the room during the meal and in true Danish tradition the men just had to come up and kiss the bride.... steady on there guys!......

Their fist dance was something special. You could see they just went into their own world as they danced to the classic "Love & Affection" by Joan Armatrading. But they soon swung out to do some more daring moves, finishing with Christina's curtsy......

and lads will be lads.......

Congratulations to both of you and thank you to your family and friends for making us feel part of the wedding party.
