Chris & Kate's Wedding - 17th April 2009 - Gosfield Hall, Essex

Kate and Chris are friends of ours and it was a real compliment when they asked us to photograph their special day. Not only did they recommended us to Kate's sister Steph for her and her Chris's wedding in November last year (photos to follow later), but having seen us in action and seen the results, Kate and Chris even planned their wedding day to coincide with our diary so that we would be there to capture it too. Thank You.

The day dawned foggy having absolutely poured it down the night before and even though the sun didn't make it out
completely we were blessed with a dry day so we were able to get outside for photos and canapes on the terrace. Everything ran smoothly to plan with a real bubble of excitement running across the whole wedding party. The speeches were strong and funny and the party afterward went on well in to the night with some serious dancing going on!

Kate & Chris wrote us a lovely Thank You card saying:

" We both wanted to say a massive "thank you" to you both for all your hard work on our wedding day - everybody commented on how hard you worked and also how nice you both are! It was so lovely to have you with us as our friends as well as our photographers and we are so pleased you c
ould share our day! We don't need to wait until seeing the photos before sending this because we KNOW they will be fantastic! Our Front of House Manager Emma has asked me to send her the link for the photos as she was so impressed with you and had never seen photographers do a night shoot before!"

Kate & Chris you had a fantastic day and we t
horoughly enjoyed being there with you and capturing your memories for you. Here are just a taster few.......

Roland & Sara's Wedding - 11th April 2009 - Loseley Park

Well we kicked off the season in style with a fantastic couple that were so much fun and just made the most of their day. It didn't matter that it rained... Sara just donned her wellies and off we went! They had a great crowd too which made for some really fun shots of the dancing.

They mailed us saying: "Hello! Can't stop looking at the photos!!!! They have come at the perfect time, just as everything has settled down and normality was setting in! We are really pleased with them, they look Fantastic. We really did have our perfect day and you have captured it so well. Thank you for the part you played in helping make it all go smoothly. Having the two of you with us all day was like having another 2 friends, Thank you. I hope you enjoyed it too!"

Well we did! We had a great time.

Thank you to the boys in suits for helping us in the rain - you were stars and a huge Thank You to Katherine & Jason who recommended us to Sara & Roly after seeing us in action at Jaime & Gareth's wedding at Farnham Castle in 2007.

Just loved the wiggle in the dance Roly!

Holly & Dan's Wedding - Saturday 17th May

Holly and Dan came to see us last year and we immediately knew we would have a good time on their day. They booked us, saying they felt they could whole heartedly trust us to get the job done well, and I think we did, even with the odds against us as the weather came in!

We arrived at The Great House at Sonning, Berkshire to an over cast morning and the threat of thunderstorms but this didn't spoil Holly's and her bridesmaids' mood of excitement.

Holly during the getting ready....

and the boys waiting at St. Andrew's Church....

a quick tidy up before going in....

and Holly makes her entrance.

Despite all the nerves and emotions they enjoyed their ceremony.

All seemed fine with the weather so we went down to the river....

but down came the rain....

so we went inside....

to warm up by the fire.

The weather didn't affect the mood at all and the crowd were in great spirits. We couldn't help but notice these little moments during it all....

And so on to the speeches. Holly's Dad just checking he'd got the right word....

and obviously he did!

and finally - Tim got the girls sassying down the dance floor for him once again!

Enjoy your honeymoon Holly & Dan and we'll catch up with you when you are back.

Friday 18th April - photographing with Capture-IT

Had a fantastic opportunity the other week to support our good friends Richard & Sarah Harris from Capture-IT on Emma & Stuart's wedding at Cain Manor. They are a great couple and we had some fun photography.

Here's Richard & Sarah - bet you love me for this shot guys!

Here are a few that I took....

Thanks to Emma & Stuart for making me feel included and thanks to Richard & Sarah for a great shoot.

Tim.

Ziad & Christina's Wedding. Saturday 12th April. Abingdon

Ziad had been Best Man at Mike & Emily's wedding in Scotland in September 2005 and so it was just great to be back photographing with the same group of friends.

We were all set for the first wedding of our season and I was really excited about using my new Canon 5D.

The wedding took place in Abingdon near Oxford and the day before had been wet and windy so it was with crossed fingers that we woke up to find a beautiful sunny day with the most incredible blue sky which of course Tim just had to make the most of.

Heres' a nervous Christina.....

and here is an excited Ziad inside the Roysse Room at the Guildhall in Abingdon.

but he still needed a little extra moral support from Mike before the ceremony......

and there was no way he was not going to look down the isle and see Christina making her entrance.....

a tender moment during the reading....

and the first kiss of many on this special day.....

This was a great room to photograph in, very light and with just the most ornate ceiling which Tim just had to make sure he documented in the pictures....

This is our favourite confetti shot.

For some reason I really like this picture that I caught of the couple walking to the Abbey Gardens and Tim at work. We can't show it all on the blog but Tim's shot shows Ziad placing the Marriage Certificate safely inside his jacket. So if it's gone missing..... we have the evidence of where it was seen last!

We had some fun shooting the bridal party. This is just a wicked jump shot.....

and Tim just had to capture this shot of Christina as she walked through the gardens.....

And then we went for a stroll through the Gardens down to the lake and back up past the ruins.....

The reception was held at Westwood Country Hotel. Ziad left the room during the meal and in true Danish tradition the men just had to come up and kiss the bride.... steady on there guys!......

Their fist dance was something special. You could see they just went into their own world as they danced to the classic "Love & Affection" by Joan Armatrading. But they soon swung out to do some more daring moves, finishing with Christina's curtsy......

and lads will be lads.......

Congratulations to both of you and thank you to your family and friends for making us feel part of the wedding party.

Meet Us

We would like to say a huge “Hello” to all those who are visiting our website and blog.

Although we re-launched our website in January, it has been a busy year both family and business wise that we are only now managing to get our blog off the ground.

Those of you who were at our weddings last year will know that we were expecting our second child and Matthew Tim was born in September 2006. With a 2 year old, a newborn and a business you can imagine how hectic things were! Even so, Tim single handedly rebuilt and re-launched our website and successfully converted our garage to become our office and client viewing room so by May we were up and running and ready for the new season.

And what a season it has been! We’ve had a fabulous and fun time shooting at great venues with wonderful couples and we have had the pleasure of working alongside some great people this year too.

We’ll start our blog by showing you a sneak preview of us at work and then over the next few weeks we shall be posting some pictures of our weddings this year to bring you up to speed with what we've been doing.

We'd also like to thank those of you around us who have given us your support this year and whom without we would not have been able to be as successful as we have been. In Particular, Daddy & Mummy P, Grandma, Jason & Helen, Richard & Sarah Harris of Capture IT, Heston Photographics, Pat & Nick and the team at SWCL & SWPM and last but not least our couples.

So sit back and enjoy and we'd love to hear your comments on the pictures you will see.

Sarah & Tim Parsons.

Here's Tim with Mick & Catherine at The Elvetham, Hartley Wintney, Surrey in August this year.
Thanks to digital we are able to show our couples the back of the camera so they can have a sneak preview of what's to come on their disk. As you can see he carries two cameras on him at all times and yes, he is a Canon Man through and through.

Here's me with Mick on the same day.

Mick was an absolute scream and we had no end of fun on this shoot.

This was again the same day and I caught this shot of everyone walking back up the avenue after we'd taken their personal pictures. The Toastmaster is Eric Gill as recommended on our website and by The Elvetham. The Elvetham is the only venue we know that has a waitress to carry your drinks for you all day too.

Quite often our couples request a fun shot and Jodie and Richard asked for this shot of them and their bridal party at Penny Hill Park, Bagshot, Surrey in July this year.

One of the things we find helps our brides is my experience to help them into their dresses when there is a lot of lacing or buttons. I think I helped dress pretty much most of them this year and it works well because Tim still gets the shots whilst I calm nerves and save on time if things are starting to run late. You can just about see me behind Gemma in this shot.

When you are shooting natural photography there is always the opportunity of a picture, so it's not often we take a break until the wedding breakfast. However, when the videographer Leo Ferenc of Perfect Day Studios asked for this scenario at Gemma & Stuart's wedding at Great Fosters, Egham, Surrey in September I just couldn't resist! Thanks too to the Bestman for the drink by the way!

So these are but a few of the venues we've worked at but hopefully this has given you a taster for who we are and how we work and has warmed your appetite ready for the pictures of the actual weddings over the weeks to come.

Thanks

Sarah & Tim
